My family and I were browsing through Google for a new restaurant to try and we stumbled upon Waxins. When we arrived, we were seated at a beautiful, round six-top table in the corner with comfortable seats and fantastic ambiance. Our server, Ryan, was very helpful with suggestions and extremely patient answering all of our questions. As for the food, we loved everything. We highly recommend the Beef Carpaccio, Toast Skagen, Swedish Meatballs, Beef Rydberg and Truffle Pasta. We also had four desserts and all were delicious but the Cinnamon Bun was the biggest crowd pleaser. I can’t finish up this review without mentioning their HotShots. If you’re in the mood for an alcoholic dessert, all I can say is, don’t pass it up. The whole experience was great and we look forward to returning soon.

This was my first time at the restaurant and although the food and service was very good. Nicole who was not our server was very attentive to ever table around her including our. She is an absolute gem.

Fun Scandinavian inspired menu with plenty of comfortable classics as well. Really, really nicely prepared fish and fun drinks. The toast skagen was delicious. It has the small, sweet shrimp that have the perfect texture and flavor. The toast and lemon make balanced bites. Very Scandinavian energy between the smaller shrimp and dill in the dish. My salmon was also lovely. Wonderfully cooked and layered with flavor in the dish. The side veggies were notably good, which is always a happy surprise. My husband loved the cod, he especially liked the horseradish touch on top. The vibe is upscale but not stuffy. Service was super friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating, plus plenty of free parking all around in the plaza.

As a European, I guess I expected a fancy, expensive restaurant to deliver great food and attentive service. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience. We were a group of six celebrating a birthday. The food was just average and definitely overpriced for what we received. The service was disappointing. Our server took a long time to check on us, forgot several items we requested, and overall seemed inattentive. Having worked as a server myself for years, I understand that restaurants can get busy, but waiting over 40 minutes for our food, combined with the lack of service, was frustrating. Overall, I don't feel the experience was worth the price. I wouldn't recommend spending your money here.

Joe was our waiter and he was wonderful. Excellent hospitality and service. He checked in with us consistently and explained the menu for me. He was such a nice person to guide our experience. The manager Arie was very welcoming and celebrated it was our first time. I was highly impressed with the entire team and experience. The chef is amazing and I cannot believe how clean and fresh everything tasted. One of the best meals we have had in years.
