Wow!! First time visitor to Greenville and with the hundreds of options for food I am so very glad we picked Soby’s. Incredible cocktails and amazing food. We opted for the “TV Dinner: Top Chef inspired meal” and it was so delicious. Portions were so generous so we had plenty to take home. Great service by Sam our waitress! Will definitely be back next time!
What an absolute pleasure and treat to introduce my daughter to Soby’s. This is a dining experience that needs to be at the top of everyone’s list who travels to Greenville. From the moment we walked in the staff was extremely welcoming. We were seated at the perfect table by a window. Everyone went above and beyond to make this experience one we will never forgot. I would highly recommend the Petal and Thorn cocktail which compliments the Salmon Tartare appetizer. We chose the TV Dinner special that replicated a meal that was prepared by Soby’s on a televised Top Chef Show. Complimentary deviled egg with a rich smoky flavor. The watermelon citrus salad with a dollop of crab meat brought your tastebuds alive in order to prepare for the next course of fork tender, mouth watering short ribs served on a bed of creamy polenta and fresh green beans all the while topped with fresh chimichurri Outstanding. Our peach mouse dessert with a chocolate tweedle was the ultimate to the best culinary meal served by the joyful Sam. Hats off to everyone who made this experience THE BEST!
We sat at the bar high tops and had no wait time! I would get a reservation if you want a table on a Friday or weekend. This food was good. The cocktails were delicious and the flavors of all the meals we ordered were great. We got the chopped salad, drinks, complimentary bread, crab cakes, shrimp and grits, and fried chicken! I would recommend this to a group who likes modern southern cuisine.
Absolutely delicious. Everything from appetizers to main course to desserts was outstanding. And the number of choices on the menu made it very hard to decide. The she crab soup, shrimp & grits, crab cakes, truffle mac & cheese, spicy pimento & pita chips, sweet corn maque choux, sweet potato cheesecake, and southern buttermilk pie were all delicious. The atmosphere is very classy, relaxed, and romantic. The wines that we tried were very good as well and many to choose from. It seemed that everyone was really enjoying the wines. The level of service had a very personal touch and was outstanding as well. Really added to the overall experience. It's easy to see why they are Michelin rated. Highly recommend giving this place a try.
The location and atmosphere were great. Such a wonderfully vibe. The server was as fast as possible and got the food out in a reasonable time. The pecan sticky bun was dry, but the spicy pimento cheese was delicious. The pita chips were a perfect pair. The country fried steak and the fried chicken both had the breading falling off the meat. Both the steak and chicken left much to be desired although they were juicy. The potatoes were awesome and possibly the best part of the whole meal.
