The Jailhouse Grill is a solid 10/10 grill to dine in. The ambience and mood lighting are perfect for my sensitive eyes, and the staff are lovely. The tables and cutlery are clean; nothing in there looked unpleasant. My medium-rare Scotch fillet was cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were quite a pleasant addition to the dish. The salad bar was fresh and tasty. It had so many different salads to choose from to best suit your dish; it’s complementary. The Jailhouse Grill provided me with a very nice time and meal with my father, and I look forward to coming back..
eye fillet steak was tender, potatoes were crispy, salmon was tender and creamy and there was even a free salad bar there i could even see a chef cooking steaks on the grill very impressing experience but pork ribeye was too hard - should make it little more soft instead service was excellent - waited for a short while before food came and ate salad bar to occupy my waiting time. one thing to everyone is that try not to order the pork ribeye as it is a little too hard, but overall it was good
Have seen Jailhouse Grill advetised, had friends tell me about and passed it a few times when I'm in town, so on this occassion it was finally time to try for myself. The place was absolutely packed when we got there.....which is always a good sign. We were lead around to our table by which was quite near to the buffet which was a nice bit of luck. Because I was ordering a steak I was informed that it automatically gave me access to the all-you-can-eat buffett. And there's quite the variety on offer so there's sure to be options to please everybody. I picked out a selection while waiting for my 300gm Scotch Fillet with Roast Potatoes and topped with a creamy Muchroom Sauce. With my drink it came to about $70 roughly which I felt was extremely good value when you throw in the buffet. The steak was cooked exactly as asked and the potatoes crisp on the outside while tender within. I really like the setup of the place allowing a busy vibe but still secluded in a few spots to feel private and cosy. Will definitely stop in again in future.
Fantastic food and drinks! The hot and cold buffet selection tasted great and very high quality. The standard rump steak was cooked to exactly what i wanted! The service was fantastic!
I was looking for a nice steak on our visit to Launceston and this place came up during review searches. Conveniently located in the CBD it was walking distance from our motel. The staff were very welcoming and explained all options to us. I had the 600 gram rump and the bride had the beef pot pie. Both came with the salad bar. We also had a cheesy garlic bread for starters. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. The beef in the pot pie was unbelievably tender. You certainly wont leave hungry after the salad bar either. Reasonably priced for quality.
