Was in town for the week. First time in Launceston and got to try a few nice places for dinner. BSB was a great find. Nice atmosphere, great quality food and drinks available. Highly recommended for an enjoyable meal.
I’m posting this a bit late, but our experience at Brisbane Street Bistro for our Valentine’s date was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything stood out. The atmosphere, service, and overall dining experience were exceptional. It is absolutely deserving of its 12-hat recognition—and even more. We were warmly hosted by a very friendly and welcoming staff member, which made the evening even more special. The food was bold, creative, and full of flavor—we genuinely enjoyed every single bite. This is a place that has firmly set itself in our memories, and we would love to visit again. Highly recommended for a special occasion.
A hidden Gem, with wonderful customer service and a smile. A bit of a challenge to find parking, but a nice and elegant restaurant . The wine selection is perfect and the food from entree to desert cannot be faulted. Everything from cutlery to fine china was simply prefect. The service was on time. Highly recommended and would definitely be going back

The food was exceptional — beautifully presented, thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour. It is clear that great care and attention go into every aspect of the dining experience. A special thank you to owners Ian Lewis and Sarah Willis, whose passion for hospitality shines through in both the kitchen and the dining room. Brisbane Street Bistro offers that rare combination of outstanding food, excellent service and a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. A delightful discovery for the last dinner on a 3-night trip to Launceston. Thoughtful, classical menu, great wines by the glass, skilful subtle service, lovely atmosphere. I overheard that a married couple have been running this place for over 20 years now - congratulations.
