It’s a nice public golf course. It is NOT LPGA or tour quality in the slightest. Wherever that came is a bit of a reach. Course was in decent shape at end of May 26 when I played. Greens are extremely SLOW. Everything in good to average shape. 14 was a cool hole. Very repetitive style course. Pace of place was great just over 3 hours for our 4 some. Probably a tad overpriced. Maybe not overpriced for locals.
I visited KGC for a wedding photography and I was amazed by its beauty especially during the golden hours at the sunset time. The staff members were very helpful for pointing out where is a photogenic location to shoot at, and prepared a golf cart for us in a very timely manner. The food and catering service was very pleasant as well. If you like a wedding venue with AC, and all in one location for the ceremony & reception, I highly recommend considering Kapolei Golf Club for your wedding day.
Tour Quality Conditions: Visiting the Grounds at Kapolei The Smartgolfcourses team visited Kapolei Golf Club. You can tell why the LPGA played here—the conditions look top-tier. The clubhouse and restaurant areas are beautiful, and the water features near the first tee set a great tone. watched some smooth tee shots. A very polished experience. Congratulations to the entire team for maintaining such tournament-quality standards every day.
There are several public golf courses in the Kapolei and Ewa Beach areas, and Kapolei Golf Club stands out as one of the best. Starting with the pro shop, it’s spacious, well-stocked, and staffed by a friendly, helpful team. Just down the hallway is a banquet room with a bar, where they host events and weddings. Outside, the experience continues with quality golf carts equipped with reliable GPS. The staff who manage cart staging and returns are welcoming and efficient. From a golfer’s perspective, the course offers a solid mix of risk and reward. Shot placement and club selection are critical throughout the round. The second cut can be penal, and many holes feature water hazards and homes lining the fairways, so errant shots can quickly add up. Overall, it’s an excellent course with strong amenities and a layout that keeps you engaged. One factor to consider is airplane noise. Both commercial and military aircraft frequently fly overhead. If you’re looking for a completely quiet, uninterrupted round, courses on the west and southwest sides may not be ideal. Personally, I enjoy it—it’s not every day you see fighter jets and Blackhawks flying overhead during a round.
Playing a round here was a total treat because the entire course looks like it belongs on the cover of a magazine. The fairways are bright green and perfectly manicured, and the water features are scattered throughout in a way that is both beautiful and a fun challenge for your game. I loved how the layout felt spacious and open, with enough variety in the holes to keep things interesting the whole time. The staff at the clubhouse were incredibly professional and made me feel like a VIP from the moment I checked in to the moment I finished my last hole. Even the practice areas and the cart service were top-notch, showing that they really pay attention to every little detail. It is definitely on the pricier side, but for a special day out on the greens with stunning views and a perfect atmosphere, it is absolutely worth every penny.
