- place is really nice, i came here on sunday morning and it quiet busy - it's not that long but it's not that fast for waiting the order, bcs it was busy. Overall still good. I like it
I have visited other Beechworth bakeries which have always had 5 Star Food and service. Not the Bendigo Beechworth Bakery!!! Today I visited with my family and both the food and service were substandard. The empty tables inside were all dirty and covered in used plates from previous customers. We were served at the register quite quickly. Two of the pies we ordered were very very dry on the top and had very little meat in them (steak and potato pies) the plain pie was luke warm. Terrible pies. One of the drinks on our order took 20 minutes to be made, and by that time we had finished our lunch! Staff unapproachable and rude. We will never return to this Bendigo store. It really gives Beechworth Bakery a bad name. Such a shame.
This place was amazing and caught us by surprise during our visit to Bendigo for Easter weekend. Ned kelly pie is a must try. We also loved the German donuts and jam donuts. Coffee was amazing as well. I would love to visit this next time when i visit the region.
Don’t bother going there to eat a yummy hot pie and Jam donut for a treat. pie pastry is thin hard and no taste and filling cool to warm. jame donut was stale no taste whatsoever didn’t even smell like a yeasty jam donut just sugar. save your hard earned money. totally lack lustre.
Came in with my daughter today very busy! I understand that staff are under pressure with a lot of people in store today but the way I was spoken to today by a girl in a blue shirt was absolutely disgusting.. my daughter was hungry and waiting for her cheese toastie.. after a nearly 20 minute wait I went to ask how much longer the wait was and was told “if your buzzer hasn’t gone off it’s not ready, you need to wait like every one else” very rude, very abrupt then she proceeded to turn around and chat with other staff members by the coffee machine. My daughter waited 30 minutes for a cheese toastie. Not happy, not impressed! Very poor management. Won’t be back.
